Moving Stories Films supports filmmakers success

January 17, 2009

Our first foray seems to have gone quite well, with all kinds of interesting developments happening for BookShorts, for the authors and for the filmmakers who took part in this year’s hoopla.  A huge part of the fun for us is knowing what happens next too – so we’ll keep posting news on behalf of our artists whenever we have an update.

Here are a few we’ve heard lately …

  • James McCreath is launching his book Renaldo, upon which the Gary Thomas-helmed “A Life’s Passion” is based, on the Kindle e-book reader and as an e-book for other devices – it’ll be available for download on James’ website here

  • Paul Quarrington’sPavane” will be broadcast on Bravo!FACT Presents in early 2009 – watch for announcements on their website here.

  • Brian Smith’sSprout This!” was accepted and is now being broadcast in its entirety on Atom.com – visit now

  • Rachel Peters has edited a fantastic “making of” mini-documentary for “Nagasaki Circus” with the Martin Ewen, the author of the original story, who is both in costume as his stilt-walking mime character Lurk, and behind the scenes at BuskerFest – watch it on her website here
